Myanmar agriculture exports goes rise
Myanmar received US $ 627.812 millions from exports of agricultural products in the first three months of fiscal year 2015-16, and increase of more than $ 216 million compared with the same period last year, said Myawaddy Daily on Friday. A sharp rise in the dollar against the Myanmar Kyat and increased demand for agricultural products from Myanmar in the international market has increased the volume of trade in agricultural products, the report cites agricultural importers as saying.

According to official statistics, Myanmar has recorded a trade deficit of $ 4.9 billion in fiscal year 2014-15. With its total foreign trade worth 27.79 million dollars during the period, exports stood at 11.45 million dollars, while its imports was 16.34 million US dollars. Myanmar mainly exports agricultural products, animals, fishing, mining and forest products and imports of consumer goods, raw materials and capital goods products.
