Myanmar looking for arts and crafts market in Pakistani

Myanmar is trying to market in Pakistan for domestic arts and crafts, as well as some foreign countries, a local weekly reported in this week’s issue.

Myanmar made of brass and silver arts and crafts have been exported to China, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, England and the United States.
To attract buyers from around the world, the country has maintained the arts and crafts shows in the country and involved some art festivals and sculpture abroad.

In April, Myanmar has participated in the festival of the arts and sculpture in Beijing, China presented wooden sculptures carved with different designs stems and trees felled by the cyclone Nargis.

In early January, Myanmar has also held an exhibition of arts and crafts. For sale at the fair were 2,000 huge wood carvings, including Myanmar and the traditional Chinese style, the style of the European Union and styles of model animals and furniture, created by 200 wooden Curvers across the country with the timber and logs felled by Cyclone Nargis in May 2008.
